On our school tour we visited the aquarium in Galway and then went to Jump for Joy in Athlone. We had a fantastic day!
Our school won a competition on Facebook for Rinka to visit our school! We had so much fun doing lots of exercises. We even learned how to do tumbles!
We went to Turoe Pet Farm on our school tour. We loved travelling on the bus with our friends. We enjoyed the play area, playground and farm walk but our favourite part was the inflatable city!
Congratulations to the Roxboro N.S camogie team who won the Cumann na mBunscol county final recently at Four Roads GAA grounds. History was created as Roxboro won it’s first ever camogie final. We took part in Active Week in May. Below are some activities we took part in.
We went on a minibeast hunt around the school grounds. We brought magnifying glasses and bug catchers with us to see what we could find! We founds spiders, flies, worms, ants, beetles, bees and a slug! It was so much fun!
First class had great fun orienteering. We worked hard with our partners to read a map of the school grounds and did our best to complete the course as quick as we could!
In May, we loved taking part in Active Week. Every day we had new activities to try. We enjoyed the line dancing and the stations. But our favourite day was Sport’s Day!
4th Class recently completed some research projects about different countries from around the world. We enjoyed working in groups and presenting our findings to other classes. We learned lots of interesting facts about other countries!
Congratulations to our camogie team who participated in the Cumann na mBunscol camogie blitz day recently! The girls were victorious in both of their games and have qualified for the county semi-final. Well done girls!
