We made weather machines with Mobilo, spring pictures with playdough and lots of words! We made rainbows in art. Also we set up a news and weather station. We used microphones and even had a camera!
Junior Infants welcomed their grandparents into their classroom during Catholic Schools week. We sang songs for them and showed them our photo wall. Our favourite part of the day was introducing our grandparents to our friends and showing them what we do in school.

We made butter! It was hard work but we loved learning about how butter is made. First we poured cream into the jar, then we put in two marbles and finally we shook the jar for 5 minutes!
3rd Class are really looking forward to watching Ireland competing in the Six Nations Rugby Championships over the coming weeks. We decided to do some research about the countries involved in the competition. We really enjoyed working in groups and using the laptops to complete our research! COME ON IRELAND!!!
6th class wrote a letter to one of their grandparents for Grandparents’ Day. The children received letters back and they read them out in class. A member of An Garda Síochána visited our classroom in January to talk to us about internet safety. We discussed why internet safety is so important and learned how to protect ourselves from harmful materials on the internet.
We are all really enjoying skipping in 4th Class. It is a great way to keep fit as well as having fun with friends!
